Bad Tattoo Draft @ The Buckingham December 19, 2015

Tattoos are sacred. To some that is. Regardless of what poorly-choreographed Television shows will tell you, there are some idiots out there who care very little for what is forever engraved on their bodies, and what better way to celebrate that then through Holiday Charity!

That’s right, the boys of the Buck and their pals want to raise some money to brighten someone’s holidays, so they thought of the worst bands they possibly could, stuck their logos on a wheel, and will take a spin of terror to see which will be tattooed on them forever!! With a donation of your choice (food bank is always rad, though a small cash donation would also rule,) come participate in the insanity. A select few have also committed to the Body Map challenge, that if you want to step up your donation, you determine where they’ll get the tattoo (some restrictions apply there, though not the areas you’re thinking of.) This will also be presented by the lovely folks at Fountainhead Tattoo (who despite the contestants indifference, do care about the quality of their awesome art.) Showtime is 7 PM, so pop by before your evenig begins!!

DARK MATTERS – Adult Night at the Science Centre December 10, 2015

DARK MATTERS – Adult Night at the Science Centre
December 10, 2015

DARK MATTERS is an 18+ event, where the science is served on the rocks & the adults come out to play

It’s GAME ON! If you can play it, you can bet it will be here. We’ll be teaming up – or facing off – at this next action packed DARK MATTERS event.

– We’re transforming our IMAX lobby into a Board Game Cafe, with a little help from our friends at Table Top Café. Try a new board game, or play an old favourite.
– Flash back to the good old day of endless video-gaming in your parents’ basement in our Retro Gaming Zone. We’ll have gaming consoles from your childhood set up & ready to play, like Nintendo NES, Sega Genesis and a Vectrex. Thanks to our friends at the Edmonton Public Library for making this possible.
– Join Extra Life Edmonton in the Modern Gaming Zone, where you can try out some of today’s hottest video games.
Play classic arcade games on the Retro Active Arcade machine.

As part of the festivities we’ll be showing the ultimate video-game inspired film: the classic 1994 Street Fighter (starring Jean-Claude Van Damme) in the IMAX theatre at 9:30 p.m. When you purchase your DARK MATTERS ticket you will have the choice of adding a film ticket to your order for an additional $9.95. Simply choose “Add to Order” or, if you do not wish to see the film click “Continue”.

And as always:
