Latitude 53 – Parka Patio Party February 22, 2014

The Parka Patio Party returns, February 22 with the theme: Ice / Land.

This year, Latitude 53 is excited to hold the event at their new location for the first time—where you’ll be able to move directly from the heated patio through the galleries, filled with music from Cygnets and Easy Love, installation art by Kayla Callfas, Chris Perron, and Giulliano Palladino, food from Pinnochio Ice Cream and The Hat, tea from Acquired Taste plus DIY Ice-luge cocktails from Belvedere Vodka, dancing, and a silent auction with some incredible up-and-coming artists.

Latitude 53’s heated patio will be decked out with sparkling ice—and the gallery doors will be open, beckoning visitors into a warm, cosy chalet space, with installation art, live music and DJs, food and drink, and a silent art auction in support of contemporary art in downtown Edmonton.

GlitterBall III – the anti-Valentine’s edition February 15, 2014

The third annual Glitterball – the anti-Valentine’s edition, brings a Vaudevillian opulent feast for the senses of modern fusion bellydance, comedy and burlesque by some of the this city’s finest performers. Musical stylings by the often lauded, always brilliant Thomas Culture.

Specializing in the unexpected and more often than not titillating, Glitterball always brings the surprises and sultry delights, this time around it’s about the unrequited, the spurned, the bitter, the lonely, the broken hearted…LOVE. That’s right, the L word…
with performances by Luna Dance Fusion, Small Matters Productions, Holly Von Sinn, Moon Unit, Mooch and special guests.

The Buckingham – January 4, 2014

I am so stoked to be djing The Buckingham, Whyte Avenue’s neighbourhood Alt-Pub, Saturday January 4th. This is one of Edmonton’s hypest, “in the know”, dance floors. I will be holding it down with classic Soul, R&B, Funk and Disco jams along with some of the freshest cuts to keep you dancing all night long. Music starts at 9 pm. See you there!!

Get The Funk Out @ The Albion Hotel w/ The ShiKing Dec. 21, 2013

One of Guelph’s favorite sons returns home for what is sure to be a kick ass Saturday Funk Night!! That’s right ladies and gents, the artist formerly known as HERBAL TEA is back, so if ya want some – come get some!

Edmonton’s premier Funk n Boogie Dj is making his way across the country to give Guelph some of the goodness. Playing weekly events at the Red Star and Mercer, while basically running things at every premiere, gala event & one off barn burner, Thomas has successfully made “hustlin’ on the wheels” a way of life for he and the YEG faithful.

It’s been a blue moon and then some since he last graced the decks in Guelph, so come on down to Guelph’s best Saturday night party. It’s GET THE FUNK OUT at the Albion Hotel!
